A learner accredited with this standard will now be capable of handling and storing hazardous/dangerous goods safely in accordance with national and international statutory requirements in any freight handling environment.
- Module 1: Identify and classify hazardous/dangerous goods
- Module 2: Handle and store hazardous/dangerous goods
- Module 3: Implement statutory requirements
- Module 4: Take the appropriate actions in the event of accidents or incidents.

During the workshop, participants will be briefed on how to prepare and present a Portfolio of Evidence for assessment.
After attendance of the course and successful completion of both formative and summative assessments, the learner will be issued with a Certificate of Competence. This unit standard is SETA-accredited and internationally recognised.
